If you are a heritage lover, you are sure to be having a good time here in having glimpses of British architecture to dwell back into British Era. During noon we will move to the Jakhoo temple where the chilly winds of the mountains will welcome you, a small group of monkeys, chirping of the birds, deep green lush valleys and Shimla localites who are known for their hospitality. Jakhoo Hill, the highest peak of Shimla, offers a panoramic view of the Shivalik Ranges along with the best view of the town of Sanjauli. Lord Hanuman's Temple on the top of the hill attracts several tourists and visitors to have a look of 108 feet (33m) statue of Lord Hanuman, a Hindu deity for being among a few of the MasterPieces statues at such a top elevation of 8500 feet. Here, you will come across many devotees feeding innumerable light-hearted monkeys. In Kalpa, you can visit many Kinnaur-style shrines besides visiting colourful SamdrupChoeling Gompa. Close to the Kinner Kailash, there is a vast 79-foot hight solitary Shivlinga visited by pilgrims, devotees and tourists for their colour changing attribute with the passing time of the day. Kalpa To Thangi (9730 Feet, 50 Km, 3-4 Hours)Today, after breakfast and check-out from the hotel you will be proceeding to Thangi hamlet, which is enclosed in snow-capped mountains. Here, you will come across a number of apple and walnut orchards. On arrival at Thangi, check-in your camp and relax, as the evening will be free at leisure to spend the way you want. Thangi To Lambar (9500 Feet, 12 Km, 1 Hour)After breakfast and check-out from the camp, we will be proceeding to Lambar, which is a narrow gorge in the southern hemisphere of the district. On arrival at Lambar you will check-in at your homestay and will be at your own will, to spend the rest of the day. Here, you will be having your dinner and staying overnight.
Lambar – Charang (11,500 Feet, 12 Km, 1 Hour)After breakfast and check-out from the homestay, we will be driving to Charang, a small but the last hamlet of India-China border. On arrival at Charang, Check-in at your guests' house and get ready to visit the ancient Rangrik Monastery situated at an elevation of about 3400m. For the escapade enthusiasts, there's no better place than Charang to be lost in the lap of nature, away from the noisy and cluttered streets, chaos and traffic. In the entire Charang, there are only two landline telephone lines of BSNL, one in the village and the other in the last IBTP Charang Post. At Charang you will be having your dinner at the guest house and will be staying here for an overnight stay.
Charang To Chitkul (11,300 Feet, 14 Km, 1 Hour)After breakfast and check-out from the guest house today, we will be driving to Chitkul, known as the last inhabited village at the Indo-China border. During winters this entire region is often snow-covered making the inhabitants move to the lower areas. Chitkul's potatoes are one of the World's best potato and are much more expensive than usually available in the markets. On arrival, at Chitkul, check-in at your hotel and have your time to be at leisure. You will be having your dinner at the hotel and staying here for an overnight stay.
Chitkul To Rakcham (9,500 Feet, 12 Km, 1 Hour)Today, you will be moving to Rakcham after taking your breakfast and doing check-out from the hotel. Rakcham is situated at 2900 m with the River Baspa flowing to it's right. The inhabitants here are known as Kinnaurs and are mostly nomadic. This area receives heavy snowfall during the winter, and therefore the inhabitants move down to the lower regions. Rakchham To Sangla (8,500 Feet, 14 Km, 1 Hour)Today, after breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we will drive to Sangla Valley renowned as half horse and half men. On the route, you will be crossing Basteri Village via an old bridge constructed over Baspa River. Here, you will come across cobble-stoned thoroughfares and various local temples of Lord Badri Narayan. Later, you will be visiting Kamru Fort, a five-storied fort that rests on 55 square feet of stone, and was constructed decades back by Dev Puran. The elegant complex statues of wooden porches and minuscule temples are a unique attraction there. In the evening, you will be returning to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Sangla To Karcham To Chandigarh (350 Km, 9-10 Hours)After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we will be driving to Karcham with a halt in the Tapri for lunch, followed by the remaining journey to be at Chandigarh.
